In this Data Analytics microcredential course, participants will master advanced strategies and techniques for utilizing Power BI, a versatile tool for both business and technical needs. They will learn to handle diverse data sources, visualize and analyze data, and effectively manage and share reports and dashboards for enhanced team collaboration. Whether learners are working on business or technical projects, this course equips them with the skills to optimize data analysis and reporting using Power BI.

Required Resources

Laptop, Intel Core i5 or higher, 16GB, 1TB Storage, Graphics Card (Hardware); Microsoft Power BI (Software); Adequate Internet Connection (Network)

Pre-Requisites

The audience for this course is data professionals and business intelligence professionals who want to learn how to perform data analysis using Power BI accurately. This course is also targeted toward those individuals who develop reports that visualize data from the data platform technologies that exist both in the cloud and on-premises.

Assessment

In this Data Analytics course, there will be:

  • One (1) diagnostic assessment is conducted synchronously and focuses on knowledge-based testing. Learners have the flexibility to choose between remote or on-site participation.
  • Two (2) formative assessments, one concentrating on knowledge and the other on performance-based skills measurement. Both formative assessments are available asynchronously, allowing learners to complete them at their own pace, with the option of remote or on-site participation.
  • A summative assessment in Data Analytics centered on performance-based skills evaluation. This summative assessment will be conducted synchronously, allowing learners to participate remotely or on-site.

Credit and Recognition

Upon completing the Data Analytics course, learners will receive a Certificate of Completion and a badge. These serve both as a recognition of acquired data science expertise and a foundational step toward more advanced studies in said field.

This course is facilitated by a Microsoft Certified Professional, someone who has completed professional training for Microsoft products through a certification program provided by Microsoft. To ensure the quality of this microcredential, continuous feedback loops with students, instructors, and industry practitioners are maintained to improve content, delivery, and assessment methods continuously.
