As the National Engineering University’s premier campus for industry-based learning, our admissions process is designed to identify applicants who demonstrate academic competence, technical aptitude, creativity, and the drive to excel in a rigorous, innovation-centered environment.
Our admission system ensures that every qualified Filipino has access to high-quality tertiary education, consistent with Republic Act No. 10931 (Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act) and Republic Act No. 11694, which designates Batangas State University as The National Engineering University.
Undergraduate Programs
Applicants must have completed, or be currently enrolled in, Senior High School from any recognized institution. Both local and foreign applicants are welcome, subject to university and government admission requirements.
- Engineering Programs – Open to graduates of the STEM or Pre-Baccalaureate Maritime strands.
- Engineering Technology Programs – Open to graduates of STEM, GAS, TVL, or Pre-Baccalaureate Maritime strands.

Admission to the BatStateU Aboitiz LIMA Campus involves two key stages, each designed to evaluate both academic strength and applied technical experience:
- BatStateU College Admission Test (CAT)
Assesses core competencies in:
- Logic and reasoning
- Numerical ability
- Communication skills
- Technical ability
(Weight: 50% of total admission score)
- Project Experience Portfolio (PEP) and Interview
Evaluates prior project experience, technical proficiency, creativity, and problem-solving abilities through:
- Submission of project outputs
- Interview with faculty and industry representatives
(Weight: 50% of total admission score)
Applicants must obtain a minimum of 25% in each stage to qualify for ranking and selection.
The Project Experience Portfolio is a signature component of the BatStateU Aboitiz LIMA Campus admissions process, reflecting our strong link between academic learning and industry application.
Each applicant must submit a digital portfolio containing:
- Project Description – Title, duration, and overview of the project
- Skills and Expertise – Technical skills, engineering tools, or software proficiency
- Role in Collaborative Projects – Contributions and teamwork experience
- Outcomes and Achievements – Impact, innovation, and results achieved
Personal Narrative – Brief reflection on learning and goals
All applications are submitted online via the official Batangas State University Testing and Admission Office (TAO) portal.

- Completed Application Form (e-copy)
- One (1) recent passport-size photo with white background
- Certified copies of final grades in Grades 10 and 11 (Math, Science, English)
- Senior High School Form 137 or proof of enrollment
- Project Experience Portfolio
Step 3: Track your application status
Check updates through your TAO dashboard.
Step 4: Attend the interview (if required)
Step 5: Receive your examination permit and take the BatStateU CAT.
