Procedures
- Get an Application Form for Admission (BatStateU-FO-TAO-01-A) to TAO or download it at http://batstate-u.edu.ph/admission-and-registration/
- Submit the filled-up application formwith all the requirementsto the TAO for evaluation.
- Pay the Testing fee at the Cashier’s Office.
- Submit the Application form to TAO and wait for the issuance of Admission Test Permit for Pre-Elementary and Elementary (BatStateU-FO-TAO-03-A).
- On the scheduled date and time, take the BatStateU Kinder II admission test. Testing can also be done upon filing an application, depending on the availability of the examinee, examiner and the testing area.
- Present the Test Permit to TAO on the announced release of test result.
- Get theNotice of Passing if qualified.
- Pay the Reservation Fee at the Cashier’s Office.
- Present the proof of payment and the Notice of Passing to TAO to get the Admission Slip for Registration (BatStateU-FO-TAO-05-C).
BatStateU does not accept transferees and returnees in all grade levels, Grade 1 to Grade 12 except for Grade 7 applicants with highest honors who passed the BatStateU Junior High School Admission Test (Guidelines for the Testing, Admission and Retention of BatStateU Integrated School, Article V, Section 1.5).

- Submit the filled-up application form along with the 2×2 pictures (and a photocopy of the evaluated TOR if Professional Education Applicant) to the Testing and Admission Office for evaluation.
- Pay the Testing fee at the Cashier’s Office.
- Submit the Application form to TAO and wait for the issuance of Admission Test Permit for Graduate School (BatStateU-FO-TAO-03-D).
- On the scheduled date and time, take the BatStateU Graduate School admission test. Testing can also be done upon filing an application, depending on the availability of the examinee, examiner and the testing area.
- Test results will be forwarded to the College or Department after thirty (30) minutes.
- Get the Admission Slip for Registration (BatStateU-FO-TAO-05-C) to TAO.
- If you intend to have your enrolment and medical check-up processed on the same day, you may choose an available schedule for both events.
- You are allowed to reschedule your appointment at least a day after your prior scheduled date.
- Click “ID Capturing” button and follow the instructions/steps indicated therein.
- Click “View Subject Status” to check if you have enrolled the complete courses as stated in your curriculum for First Year, First Semester.
If there are lacking or excess subject(s), you may communicate the Registrar’s Office of your respective BatStateU Campus to assist you with the concern.
- Click “Certificate of Registration” button if you want to print/reprint your Certificate of Registration.
In response to current restrictions created by the COVID-19 health crisis, the BatStateU is waiving the BatStateU Graduate School Admission Test (GSAT) during the COVID -19 pandemic.
The University remains sensitive to the challenges of Graduate School applicants who are interested in continuing advanced studies.

In response to the current restrictions created by the COVID-19 health crisis, the Batangas State University shall not conduct the BatStateU College Admission Test AY 2021-2022 (BatStateU CAT AY 2021-2022).
These interim policies are in accordance with the pertinent provisions of Republic Act No. 10931, the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act (RA 11469), and Revised Implementing Guidelines for CHED Tulong Dunong Program (joint Memorandum Circular Number 4 series of 2019), CHED guidelines on flexible delivery of student services.
Applicants for admission to programs of the University shall not be required to take the Batangas State University College Admission Test (BatStateUCAT) provided that they must satisfy all other requirements in accordance with University academic rules and standards and those mentioned in this interim policy.

Evaluation of Applications and Criteria for Admission Priority
- Applications will be evaluated and applicants will be ranked in accordance with the average of the final grades as verified in submitted certifications, and admitted to programs applied for based on rank, subject to quota set or slots allotted per program by the University.

Affirmative Action Program
Indigent applicants, ALS graduates, students with special needs (SSN), persons with disabilities (PWD), and those belonging to the indigenous people/cultural communities shall be admitted to programs.
The University shall allot five (5) percent of the total slots or enrolments in programs to accommodate admissions of these applicants. The total number of slots for AAP may be increased based on the average recorded number of qualified AAP applicants and average total population of students in the university in last four academic years, and capacity of programs at the start of the current academic year. Potential for success in the program of each applicant shall be evaluated.

Integrity of Application
The applicant guarantees the completeness and accuracy of information disclosed or contained in documents submitted. Misrepresentation, falsification, and any form of dishonesty committed in relation to application for admission shall be sufficient ground for disqualification from admission to BatStateU.

This interim policy supports the flexibility options during the COVID-19 pandemic prioritizing the health and safety of the academic community and our stakeholders while enabling as much of our mission-related activities to continue as possible.
This policy applies to Integrated School applicants Kindergarten (5 years old), Grades 1 to 7, and Laboratory School applicants - Kindergarten and Grade 7 (ARASOF-Nasugbu).
Steps in Integrated / Laboratory School Admission Application
In response to restrictions caused by COVID-19 outbreak, Batangas State University is waiving the Integrated School / Laboratory Admission Test due to COVID -19 pandemic. However, applicant must perform the following steps for admission:
- Fill out the BatStateU Pre-Elementary, Elementary Application form or BatStateU Junior High School Application form
- Fill out the BatStateU CAT Integrated School/ Laboratory School Admission Google form link by providing the name of applicant, grade level ( For Integrated School at PB Main I - Kindergarten, Grades 1 - 7 and for Laboratory School at ARASOF Kindergarten and Grade 7), grades and other needed information.
- The following requirements must be attached:
- Completely filled out application form with “2x2” picture with white or plain background. (Scanned copy)
- Previous grade level report card with no final grades lower than 80 percent in all subjects (scanned copy).
- Wait for the confirmation of schedule for online interview from the Testing and Admission Office through tao.isat@g.batstate-u.edu.ph.
Wait for the admission result on the scheduled date of release. An e-mail with an attached Notice of Passing and an Admission Slip will be sent by the Testing and Admission Office through tao.isat@g.batstate-u.edu.ph.
I. General Requirements
A. Bachelors Degree
A foreign applicant who graduated from a high school abroad and has not enrolled in college may be admitted to the University provided that the following requirements are met: (1) completed secondary education from his country; (2) passing rate in a college qualifying national or international foreign-administered examination such as General Certificate of Education (GCE), the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or any equivalent examination:
- GCE: with a grade of E in other subjects covered in the GCE an two level A passes in the related subjects required in the course applied
- SAT: with minimum combined score of 1200 in Mathematics, Critical Reading and Writing sub-test areas.
B. Masters and Doctoral Degree
A foreign applicant who has completed a bachelor’s degree may be admitted to the Master’s program, while an applicant who has completed a Master’s degree may be admitted to the doctorate program, provided that (1) the academic requirements for the graduate degree being applied for were met and (2) passed the University’s English Proficiency Test.
C. English Proficiency Test
Applicants whose native language or whose medium of instruction is not English are required to have a minimum score of 46-59 iBT (and its equivalent PBT) in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and 5.5 iBT (and its equivalent PBT) in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Applicants must present a copy of his scores to the University. Batangas State University, GPB Main Campus I, Rizal Ave. Batangas City, 4200, Philippines. Applicants who did not pass the TOEFL and TOEIC requirements will undergo the Intensive English Language Program administered by the University’s English Department.
D. BatStateU Admission Test
A bachelor’s degree applicant who fails to satisfy the required foreign-administered examination described in Item I.A shall take the BatStateU Admission Test. Applicants who are required to take the BatStateU Admission Test are advised to apply for examination two months prior to the beginning of a particular semester. A Special Admission test may be given upon request. The BatStateU Admission Test consists of subtests in English, Mathematics, Science and Abstract Reasoning.
During the time of pandemic, however, the university implements interim guidelines on admission test for foreign nationals. Instead of taking the BatStateU Admission Test, other mechanisms to measure foreign applicants’ general academic competence are used. These include scheduled online interviews and academic essays. E. Filipino Applicants from Abroad
Filipinos who graduated from schools abroad applying for (bachelor, master’s and doctorate) degree in the University must also satisfy the same requirements as those for foreign students.
F. Application for Deferment of Enrollment
A qualified applicant who, for a valid reason, cannot enroll in the semester originally applied for may apply for deferment in the succeeding semester by writing to the University Registrar. Such applicant must not have taken any academic college subject prior to enrolment.
II. Requirements

- A non-refundable application fee of Php 300 for resident foreign students and US$20 for non-resident foreign students in cash, money order, cashier’s or manager’s check payable to Batangas State University
- Upper secondary school certificate with a grade equivalent issued by the Department of Education of the country of origin (if freshman) or TOR with equivalent grading system (if transferee) 4. Notarized affidavit of support including bank statements or notarized notice of grant for institutional scholars to cover expenses for the student’s accommodation and subsistence, as well as school dues and other incidental expenses (proof of financial capability)
- Photocopy of the student’s passport datapage showing the date and the place of birth
- Photocopy of birth certificate or its equivalent duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post
- Authentication from Consular Section of the Embassy of the Philippines in the country of origin
- Certificate of Good Moral Character from the country of origin
- Clearance issued by the national (or federal, whichever is applicable) police authorities in the student’s country of origin or legal residence duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post having consular jurisdiction over the place
- Medical health certificate issued by an authorized physician (from country of origin) including but not limited to chest x-ray, HIV and Hepatitis B clearance and drug test
- Official TOEFL or TOEIC results
- Student Visa
- For applicants in the graduate school, official transcript of records (1 official transcript of records and 3 photo copies) from the schools or university last attended and duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post located at the student applicant’s country of origin or legal residence, and official examination certificates (certified English translations of documents must also be submitted), if any, (Duly designated authorities in the country of origin of the applicant shall authenticate the photocopied documents)
