International Webinar on Sports Biomechanics

On March 26, 2023, the International Association of Physical Education and Sports Incorporated held an International Webinar on Sports Biomechanics via Zoom and Facebook Live. The webinar was attended by two (2) faculty members, including Dr. Teejay D. Panganiban, Program Chair, BPEd and Vice President of IAPES, Inc., and Mr. Michael H. San Miguel, Head for Sports. Fourth year BPEd students who attended are Mr. Raven Nicole O. Balba, Ms. Jazerie Jan D. Castillo, Ms. Mary Chris G. Godoy, and Mr. Mark Jason M. De Ramos.

BatStateU JPLPC Malvar visits Sohbi Kohgei Phils. Inc. at LIMA Technology Center

The Dean of the College of Engineering of Batangas State University JPLPC Malvar spearheaded a meeting with the supervisory personnel of Sohbi Kohgei Phils. Inc. at LIMA Technology Center in Lipa City, Batangas together with some faculty representatives of the college on February 17, 2023. This initial meeting includes a plant tour at the production area of the company.

Virtual Exchange of Students between BatStateU JPLPC Malvar and Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang

Batangas State University JPLPC-Malvar, College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) in partnership with Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang conducted a virtual exchange of students. Five students from CAS participated in Developmental Psychology offered by UNIMMA and five students from UNIMMA participated in Cognitive Psychology at BatStateU "TNEU" JPLPC Malvar. Ms. Catherine G. Javier was the faculty assigned to teach the said course in BatStateU. This activity was conducted for two (2) weeks, it started last January 25, 2023 up to February 8, 2023.

International Webinar: “ Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction in Practice” and “Tought it Up: A Talk on New-Found Resilience and Grit in the Midst of the Unknown”

Batangas State University JPLPC-Malvar, College of Arts and Sciences, together with the Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang, conducted one of their minor activities, a psychosocial-skill-based webinar on the 24th of November 2022 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM via Zoom Meeting. It provided students with knowledge about mental preparation before, during, and after a disaster. Other than that, it was intended to stabilize their emotions and behavior towards such phenomenon.

Tune – up: Upgrading Auto Skills, Meeting the Need of Time and Mileage and Embracing Auto Skills, Meeting the Need of Time and Mileage

Batangas State University, College of Engineering Technology held an online training titled "Tune – up: Upgrading Auto Skills, Meeting the Need of Time and Mileage and Embracing Auto Skills, Meeting the Need of Time and Mileage" on June 21-22, 2022 via Zoom. On the first day, the topic for dealership and career opportunity was discussed continuously till the end by Mr. Roselito Esquillo.

Webinar in Quality Assurance in Research with FEU Institute of Technology

A webinar entitled as "Quality Assurance in Research" was conducted last March 18, 2022 and Dr. Romano O. Neyra, Professor and Senior Director for Engineering of FEU-Tech was the resource speaker. He divided his discussion into four and the most important was the first part which was about the definition of quality assurance in research. The second part was about the procedures of Quality Assurance in research and Dr. Neyra said that the participants can get an idea from the webinar especially to those who were in institutions like schools or companies conducting research. The third topic was about the important things to consider in data collection and analysis and the last part was about the benefits of Quality Assurance Research (QAR). Dr. Neyra started the discussion by defining quality assurance and research. He reiterated the difference between the two terms but he stressed out that they were interrelated to each other. Dr. Neyra also discussed the six research processes which were popular to all even if the researchers were conducting an applied or basic research.

Road Safety for EveryJuan: Safe Driving Tips and Basic TroubleShooting Training with Mitsubishi Motors Philippines

Batangas State University, College of Engineering Technology held an online training titled "Road Safety for EveryJuan: Safe Driving Tips and Basic TroubleShooting" on December 7, 2020, with 100 participants attending it. Mr. Dario Orca, Assistant Manager for After Sales Training of Mitsubishi Motors Philippines, served as the events' resource speaker. He discussed the safety precautions on driving and how to become a defensive driver. He also discussed different car problems and how to troubleshoot it. The speaker also presented different symbols and signs that can be seen in the highway.
