The Batangas State University commits to its mandates of providing access to quality tertiary education to the youth by providing scholarships and financial assistance to most able and deserving students. The university through the Scholarship and Financial Assistance Office (SFAO) establish linkages with local and international philanthropists, alumni, government and private agencies to cater diverse groups of beneficiaries and provide incentives by giving grants and financial assistance to the deserving but financially challenged students.
The office provides the following services:
A. Application for Scholarship and Financial Assistance:

For Integrated School Students (incoming high school Top 1 (Valedictorian) and Top 2 (Salutatorian))
Must be an elementary or high school valedictorian, salutatorian, or top five of at least 100 graduates (except for BatStateU IS graduates and Science High School and Special Schools for the Arts/Technology) but subject to verification and mandate from CHED.

- Scan the Notarized Certification from the principal stating the academic rank of the applicant and the total number of graduates

6. Answer the Google Form link provided and upload the e-copy of duly filled-up application form and Certificate of Registration, Notarized Certificate from the principal and CTC of the report card.
B. Evaluation of grades and other supporting documents for renewal of scholarship and financial assistance.
Student who are existing scholars/continuing grantees of various externally funded grants may check their joined Google Classroom for submission of the documentary requirement. The office shall assist you in the submission of these documents to our external partners
Continuing Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) and Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) Grantee

- Download the current Registration Form and Grades from previous Semester.
- Go to Assigned Google Classroom and answer the classwork assigned in the passing the needed requirements for evaluation and update student information
C. Request for Scholarship Certification.
Student who need Scholarship Certification may download Scholarship Requisition Slip in their Student Portal or download here: tinyurl.com/ScholarReqSlp and submit the requisition slip in scholarship office or in email at their respective campus.

CHED Medical Scholarship and Return Service Program
All students of the Batangas State University College of Medicine must apply for The CHED Medical Scholarship and Return Service (MSRS) program. This program was established under Republic Act (RA) No. 11509, otherwise known as the “Doktor Para Sa Bayan Act” to enable deserving students to pursue a degree in Doctor of Medicine.
The MSRS program shall be accessible to qualified and deserving Filipino students who are willing to undertake the mandatory return service, preferably but not limited to those who are residing in municipality without government physicians, Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDA) or from the top twenty (20%) provinces and/or municipalities as identified by the Philippine Statistics Authority , calamity-prone and conflict areas, low-income class municipalities with poverty incidence; belonging to the ethnic group or indigenous population/communities as certified by respective local government units and the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP), dependents of community health volunteers, and those whose combined annual family income of less than Php 450,000.00.
- Qualification for the MRSR Program
A Filipino citizen residing in the Philippines who;
- Graduated from a baccalaureate program identified as a prerequisite for a Doctor of Medicine degree;
- Is currently enrolled in Doctor of Medicine program;
- Complied with requirements for admission as well as the other requirements of the CHED;
- Obtained a National Medical Admission Test (NMAT) score of at least 40;
- Comes from a low income family; and
- Is willing to sign the Return of Service Agreement for the MSRS program.
Documentary Requirements
The minimum documentary requirements required at the time of application to the program are as follows:

- Proof of Filipino citizenship such as any government-issued document showing proof of Filipino citizenship, including, but not limited to certified true copy of Birth Certificate issued by the Local Civil Registry or Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Philsys ID;
- Certificate of Good Moral Character
- Additional requirements for priority groups (as applicable):
- Certification of Residency issued by the barangay;
- Certification as members of indigenous people or minority group / National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) certificate;
- Certification issued by the DOH-Bureau of Local Health Systems and Development that the applicant is a dependent of community health volunteer; and
- Certification from Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (LDRRMO) or Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) that the applicant is from a calamity-prone and conflict area.
- Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of parents or guardian. In the case of identified priority groups, Tax Exemption or Tax Declaration from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) / Social Case Study duly signed by a registered Social Worker where the applicant resides; and
- Affidavit of no existing scholarship grant or Return Service Obligation.
Financial Assistance
The student financial assistance for the MSRS Program shall include the following as stipulated in Section 6 of the IRR:
- Free tuition and other school fees identified in Section 3(d) in the IRR
- Subsidy and allowances which shall be given to the scholars 1st to 4th year, as follows:

- Enrollment to the following:
- National Health Insurance Program in the amount prescribed by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PHIC) to be paid directly to PHIC quarterly by CHEDRO IV; and
- Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) Accident Insurance to be paid directly to GSIS annually by concerned CHEDRO IV.
