Home / Page From a single campus in Batangas City, Batangas State University has expanded into five constituent campuses and six extension campuses across the province of Batangas. The University is continuously enhancing infrastructure and learning environments across all eleven campuses to meet the evolving needs of students, faculty, and researchers. Each campus is strategically developed to cultivate specialized academic strengths while fostering impactful research and community engagement tailored to its distinct context.   BatStateU-LIMA Campus The new Batangas State University (BatStateU) campus is a landmark project at LIMA Estate set to open in 2026. Its core mission is to pioneer industry-based learning, leveraging the estate’s over 185 global and local companies. This approach will provide students with real-world experience and practical skills, creating a sustainable talent pipeline and ensuring graduates meet the demands of modern industries. BatStateU-Pablo Borbon The university’s first campus in Batangas City, BatStateU-Pablo Borbon spans 5.96 hectares and accommodates nearly 17,000 students under the College of Accountancy, Business, Economics and International Hospitality Management (CABEIHM); College of Health Sciences; College of Arts and Sciences; College of Law; College of Teacher Education; College of Law; College of Criminal Justice Education and Integrated School. Recently added is the newly established College of Medicine. Quite close to the city’s CBD, it provides opportunities to reinforce relations with the business community and to prepare students to become the business leaders of tomorrow. Teacher Education, as well as Development Communication, has been recognized by CHED as Centers of Development. It is also home to the central administration where the University President and other key officials hold office. BatStateU-Alangilan Embodying the university campus of the future, BatStateU-Alangilan boasts a 5.62-hectare campus with a rich history of excellence in engineering and technology education, which has produced around 200 topnotchers in engineering and is a consistent top-performing school in mechanical engineering over the years. It is home to over 17,000 students under the College of Engineering, College of Architecture, Fine Arts and Design, College of Engineering Technology, and College of Informatics and Computing Sciences. The College of Engineering is at the forefront of academic innovation, pioneering the full implementation of outcomes-based education and technopreneurship-integrated curricula. Leveraging cutting-edge tools and digital technologies, it delivers a future-ready, 21st-century learning experience. CHED has designated its Electronics Engineering program as a Center of Excellence, while its Electrical and Mechanical Engineering programs are recognized as Centers of Development. BatStateU-Lipa Established in 2000, BatStateU-Lipa is the fastest-growing campus located in Lipa City, catering to over 4,000 students enrolled in business, management, communication, and psychology programs. Business and management students study under the College of Accountancy, Business, Economics, and International Hospitality Management (CABEIHM), while those taking communication and psychology are part of the College of Arts and Sciences—both shaping future professionals in a fast-evolving academic landscape. BatStateU-ARASOF Nasugbu Located in the coastal town of Nasugbu, BatStateU-ARASOF Nasugbu focuses on offering fisheries and aquatic sciences, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality management, and business-related courses. It provides a picturesque learning environment for its 6,000 students on a 4.2-hectare campus.   BatStateU-JPLPC Malvar Integrated into the university in 2001, BatStateU-JPLPC Malvar specializes in industrial technology programs and plays a key role in the urbanization and industrial development of Malvar. Situated on a 3.26-hectare campus, it serves over 6,000 students from various parts of Batangas. The campus features modern facilities and buildings, with most programs offered under the College of Industrial Technology.Located in the coastal town of Nasugbu, BatStateU-ARASOF Nasugbu focuses on offering fisheries and aquatic sciences, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality management, and business-related courses. Situated on a 2,000 sqm property in Lemery, the campus serves around 1,500 students, emphasizing accessible, relevant, and community-responsive education for its stakeholders.   BatStateU-Rosario Founded in 1999, BatStateU Rosario is home to 1,247 students under CABEIHM, College of Industrial Technology, and College of Teacher Education. The campus excels in teacher education and business administration programs on a one-hectare property in Rosario, Batangas.   BatStateU-San Juan Established in 1999, BatStateU San Juan serves 500+ students and places a strong focus on Teacher Education and Business Administration programs, with continued support from the local government of San Juan, Batangas.   BatStateU-Balayan Established in 1994, BatStateU Balayan stands as a vital contributor to industrial technology education in Batangas. Situated on a 5,000-square-meter lot donated by Mr. Michael Charles Padua, it currently serves 935 students. Its strong focus on technology programs, such as civil, drafting, and electronics technology, sets it apart. With ongoing facility improvements, the campus is poised to expand its niche into information technology. Further, it is located near the new municipal hall and provides a serene and conducive environment for learning and innovation. BatStateU-Lobo Home to the College of Agriculture and Forestry, Lobo Campus has been a cornerstone of agricultural and forestry education since its establishment in 1997.  With 429 students, it features a 30-hectare experimental farm that supports initiatives in crop propagation, orchard establishment, and sustainable forestry. The campus is also home to the Verde Island Passage Center for Oceanographic Research and Aquatic Life Sciences (VIP CORALS). BatStateU is also dedicated to fostering a more sustainable world by integrating sustainable practices into its academic and research endeavors, using renewable energy sources, reducing waste and water pollution, and actively involving students in sustainability initiatives. Developed in 2010 by the University of Indonesia, UI GreenMetric is the first ranking in the World that has established a Voluntary Standard for improving university infrastructure and action towards sustainable universities worldwide. The university further made its sustainability efforts more robust by establishing the Center for Sustainable Development (CSD) to ensure that sustainability is an essential component of the university’s core duties of instruction, research, innovation, and extension services, as well as its general administrative and general support services functions. SEMINAR ON INDUSTRY 4.0 BY MS. KIRSTEN DAVILA RIETH

Batangas State University conducted a seminar on Industry 4.0 with the theme, “Demystifying Industry 4.0- How Universities Can Participate?” on February 4, in preparation for its Strategic Plan 2019-2029. University junior and senior officials and members of the Faculty Confederation and Supreme Student Council Confederation gathered in the event held at the Lecture Room, International Affairs Office, BatStateU Pablo Borbon Main I, Batangas City. RTI’s Director for Strategy and Innovation Ms. Kirsten Davila Rieth, served as the resource speaker of the event. She talked about the current manufacturing trends and imparted some important matters to consider before investing in Industry 4.0 technologies.

3RD SINGAPORE POLYTECHNICLEARNING EXPRESS PROGRAM

Singapore Polytechnic (SP), Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) and Batangas State University, for the third time, converged for another 12-day Learning Express (LeX) Program. This is part of SP’s general educational program which aims to identify the unmet needs in the lives of the people in chosen communities. The program started on September 17, 2018 and lasted on the 28th. As part of the program, the students together with their facilitators spent three days in the chosen communities of Barangay Sawang in Lobo, Barangay Mayuro in Rosario and Barangay Poctol in San Juan, Batangas. They were divided into three groups, each tasked to conduct a series of interviews, brainstorm ideas, and create solutions to the problems of the communities assigned to them.

2018 TAIWAN EDUCATION FAIR

Batangas State University (BatStateU) hosted the first ever Taiwan Education Fair on August 22, 2018 at the Gov. Feliciano “Sanoy” Leviste Multipurpose Memorial Gymnasium, BatStateU Pablo Borbon Main I, Batangas City. Different Taiwan universities showcased their programs, projects, services and best practices relevant to student and faculty development. Among the participating universities include National Taiwan Normal University; National Tsing Hua University; Chihlee University of Technology; National Chiao Tung University; National Formosa University;  National Taiwan University; Minghsin University of Science and Technology; Tzu Chi University of Science and Technology; National Yunlin University of Science and Technology; Tzu Chi University; Fu Jen Catholic University; I-Shou University; China Medical University; National Dong Hwa University; WuFeng University; Kaohsiung Medical University; Chung Yuan Christian University; Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan (FICHET); and National Sun Yat-sen University.

2018 ASEAN CONFERENCE AND EXPOSITION ON DISASTER RISK MANAGEMENT AND CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION (ACEDRMCCA)

The ACTION Center or Adaptive Capacity-building and Technology Innovation for Occupational Hazards and Natural Disasters Center of Batangas State University (BatStateU) in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and National University of Kaohsiung, Taiwan (NUK) hosted the 2018 ASEAN Conference and Exposition on Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation (ACEDRMCCA) on July 25-27, 2018 with the theme, “Converging with the ASEAN Community in Managing Disaster Risks and Climate Change for a Resilient Community”. The event was held at BatStateU Pablo Borbon Main I, Batangas City, Batangas. DRM officials, personnel, researchers and academicians convened to explore the recent developments, pragmatic solutions, and effective application of science and technology innovations in climate change adaptation and disaster preparedness and response.

TAIPEI ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL OFFICE (TECO) PHILIPPINES

Batangas State University hosted the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) meeting with the Region IV-A State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) Presidents, National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) 4A Regional Director, and Philippine Society for Public Administration (PSPA) University of the Philippines-National College of Public Administration and Governance (UP-NCPAG) Executive Director at the 7th Floor of the CALABARZON Integrated Research and Training Center, BatStateU Pablo Borbon Main I on January 5, 2018. The meeting aimed to provide more scholarships, specifically for Filipino faculty members, to be able to pursue their higher studies in Taiwan universities. TECO Director, Mr. Jerry Chuang, elucidated TECO’s Scholarship Program Offerings that according to him are intended for Filipinos who wish to pursue graduate school studies in Taiwan or for those who are willing to learn the Mandarin Language in the Republic of China. The said scholarship offerings include three programs, (1) Ministry of Education (MOE) Scholarship, (2) Huayu (Mandarin) Enrichment Scholarship and, (3) International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF). Present during the meeting were PASUC and BatStateU President Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo, TECO Executive Assistant, Mr. Renzo Ramos, NEDA 4A Regional Director Mr. Luis Banua, PSPA UP-NCPAG Executive Director, Ms.Lizan  E. Perante-Calina, PSPA UP-NCPAG Professors, Dr. Alex Brillantes and Mr.Danilo Dela Rosa Reyes, Southern Luzon State University President, Dr. Milo O. Placino, Cavite State University President Dr. Hernando D. Robles, University of Rizal System President Dr.Marita R. Canapi, and Polytechnic University of the Philippines President and Dr. Emanuel C. De Guzman.

SINGAPORE POLYTECHNIC – LEARNING EXPRESS PROGRAM

Singapore Polytechnic (SP) invited Batangas State University to be a partner in a Social Innovation Project (SIP) named Learning Express – Batangas in partnership with the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC). LeX projects aim to help three (3) local communities so that their local needs shall be addressed through the outcomes or solutions conceived by the LeX Batangas. BatStateU LeX Team composed of Dr. Vanessah V. Castillo, Engr. Edzel M. Gamab, Dr. Romel U. Briones and Asst. Prof. Armando V. Mendoza, Jr., attended a three day Design Thinking Seminar-Workshop on April 4 to 7, 2017 at Singapore Polytechnic.

Filipino-Korean Student Exchange Program with Dongwon Middle School, South Korea

Ten of Batangas State University’s Integrated School students visited Dongwon Middle School, South Korea on August 28 to September 3, 2016 for a student exchange program. Said program gave students the opportunity to learn and experience the history and culture of South Korea allowing them to enrich personal growth and development. This was made possible thru the initiative and support of Suseong-hu Office of Daegu Metropolotan City, South Korea. In June 2010, BatStateU and Dongwon Middle School entered into a memorandum of agreement to promote cultural understanding thru the conduct of cultural and educational exchange programs. Since then, a total of six batches have undergone the said programs.
