General Services Office

The General Services Office is the unit tasked to ensure safe and clean environment for the University’s stakeholders. Its major task is to maintain the buildings, facilities, vehicles and other equipment. Another is the scheduling of the requests for the use of University facilities and vehicles. Further, the utility personnel of the Office are assigned in the different offices of the University to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the buildings and facilities including the fixtures and sets of furniture. In terms of facility management, the repair and maintenance unit is positioned to maintain and properly take care of the facilities and other amenities of the institution. The Office has its Motor pool Unit that is designed to facilitate all undertakings in relation to provision for transportation. One of the key units of the office is the Security Office. This unit is tasked to ensure the safety of lives of people and properties in the University. Student Affairs and Services

The Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) aims to mold globally competent and value-laden citizens by striving to enrich students through a holistic approach in providing Student Welfare and Development Programs and Services in consonance with the vision, mission, goals and objectives of Batangas State University and the mandates of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). These basic services and programs ensure and promote student well-being and are designed to explore, enhance and develop the student’s full potential in leadership and social responsibility through various institutional and student–initiated activities that upholds the core values of the university. Thrusts & Priorities Provisions of services and programs in the university that are concerned with academic support experiences of students to attain holistic student development. The Testing and Admission Office (TAO) provides the services to student applicants in college and Integrated School (IS) as well as to the academic non- teaching staff applicants: a.) Information Services, b.) Testing Services and c.) Admission Services. For the Information Services, the TAO disseminates information about the college programs offered, schedule of admission as well as the list of requirements, contact details and the step by step procedure in admission application. True to its commitment in providing effective testing services, the Office administers standardized admission tests appropriate for the academic levels. In addition, its admission services include revaluation of submitted college application forms and checking of the requirements of applicants which will be the bases for the approval and issuance of examination permit. The Office checks, scores, and interprets tests, prepares psychological reports of academic non-teaching applicants and issues notice of passing to qualified college applicants based on quota set by the University. Each Constituent Campus (Pablo Borbon, Alangilan, JPLPC-Malvar, Arasof-Nasugbu and Lipa) implements the admission policies, procedures and guidelines. SFAO organizes various scholarships and financial assistance from internal and external partners through comprehensive databases and carefully reviewing applications to determine eligibility based on criteria such as academic achievements, financial need, and specific requirements set by donors setting an efficient delivery of student service. Successful applicants are notified and awarded scholarships, with the office overseeing fund disbursement. Additionally, it assists students with compliance and reporting requirements, engages in outreach efforts, and maintains meticulous records. In essence, a scholarship office plays a pivotal role in fostering access to higher education by connecting students with vital financial resources. The SFAO of constituent Campus (Pablo Borbon, Alangilan, JPLPC-Malvar, Arasof-Nasugbu and Lipa) provides services such as application of internal and external funded scholarhip, assist grantees in claiming grants, approval of grantees through scholarship system and preparation of status report of scholars. University Symbols

The Red Spartans is the official mascot of the university. It was launched on 23 September 2014 during the 111th Foundation Anniversary of the institution. Designed by John Jeffrey Alcantara, a Fine Arts major of the university, it was officially registered at the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines on 15 April 2016 with Certificate of Registration No. 4/2014/00013631. Leading Innovations, Transforming Lives, Building the Nation is the official service motto of the university. Following the declaration of Batangas State University as The National Engineering University in 2022, it embraced a new-fangled mandate to build the nation in response to the call for engineering advancement in the country. College of Industrial Technology Bachelor of Industrial Technology Major in Electrical Technology Major in Electronics Technology Program Educational Objectives The alumni of BIT three to five years after graduation shall: Successfully practice as engineering technologists for the welfare of the society Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism at all times. Program Outcomes Graduates of the BIT program must have the following: Ability to analyze broadly defined industrial technology processes by using analytical tools that enhances creativity, innovativeness, and intellectual curiosity to improve methods, processes, and systems that meet the industry standards Ability to design and implement broadly defined industrial systems, components, products or processes to meet specific industry needs with proficiency and flexibility in the area of specialization in accordance with global standards Ability to apply appropriate techniques, resources and state-of-the-art industrial technology tools to meet current industry needs and use these modern tools and processes to improve and increase entrepreneurial activities upholding the safety and health standards of business and industry Ability to communicate with diverse groups of clienteles the appropriate cultural language with clarity and persuasion, in both oral and written forms, including understanding and giving of clear instructions, high comprehension level, effectiveness in delivering presentations and writing documents, and articulating technological innovation outputs Ability to develop leadership and management skills in a team-based environment by making informed decisions, keeping team motivated, acting and delegating responsibility and inspiring positive changes in the organization by exercising responsibility with integrity and accountability in the practice of one’s profession Practice moral responsibilities of an industrial technologist to manage and balance wider public interest and uphold the norms and safety standards of the industrial technology profession Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for continuous personal and professional development in broadly defined industrial technology and effecting positive changes in entrepreneurial and industrial endeavor Recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in life-long learning  

Extension – CAS

Title of the Activity: CitronelLAMOK TEPOK: A BatStateU-BS Biology Environmental Campaign Against Dengue for Possible Renewal of Linkage with Brgy. Talahib Pandayan Brief Description: In 2015, the CAS through the BS Biology program conducted an extension activity that raised the awareness of the residents on prevention of dengue. Monitoring activities were conducted on 2017, and based on the monitoring report, the objectives were successfully delivered. Further, the residents were thankful for the help and support given to the community by Batangas State University. The program plans to renew the linkage between Brgy. Talahib Pandayan and Batangas State University to continue the partnership and implement its sustainability plans. As per Level IV Phase 1 Accreditation of the Program, sustainability plans were reported under the Extension Area. This includes the agro-entrepreneurship venture through citronella production.
