Association of Committed Computer Science Students (ACCESS)
- First Week of First Semester 2022-2023, supervised the activity assigned that is Freedom Wall for the students.
- Monthly Meeting, co-supervises the meeting with the organization’s president, or any executive committee.
- ACCESS Infographics, proofreads and supervises the posting and contents of infographics before dissemination to the organization’s facebook page to avoid misinformation and misunderstanding to its audience.
- Flag Raising Ceremony, supervised the officers in facilitating the Flag Raising Ceremony last October 10, 2022 in front of the CEAFA Building.
- Hack-cess Mania (sub-activity of HacktoberFest). Supervised the activity “Hack-cess Mania”, a programming competition focusing on Java, C++, and Python. The contest was facilitated with the collaboration of CodeChum, an online platform for Programming. The competition included participants from different BatStateU-NEU Campuses that offer BS Computer Science and BS Information Technology programs and was held online via Zoom Meetings.
- Pista ng ACCESS: The Most Wonder-FREAK Time of the Year. Supervised the conduct of ACCESS’s major activity last November 26, 2022. It was held in the CEAFA Amphitheater, BatStateU NEU Alangilan Campus. The said activity is composed of a variety of segments that showcased the talents of the BS Computer Science students, such as:
- ACCESS Carol Fest, a segment that highlights the creativity of the students for composition of their own Christmas Carol, cooperation and coordination with their teammates.
- InkBleed, a segment that highlights the creativity of the students in digital art design for the Christmas-Halloween (Creep-mas) concept.
- CreepMaTography, a segment that highlights the creativity of the students in photography that is in line with the concept of the event.
- CineSerye, a segment that highlights the students’ talent in impromptu acting.
- ExcelCICSior: Friendship Feud. Assigned for the supervision of the organization in conducting the activity. It is a sub-activity of CICS Student Council’s ExcelCICSior.

The Junior Philippine Computer Society - Batangas State University Alangilan Chapter presents The Latest Breakthrough for CyberSecurity: BREACH (Be Secure. Your Privacy Matters) in collaboration with the CICS Student Council as part of Hacktober Fest: Hack your path to the realm of technology. A webinar strives to provide a safe and secure environment for students, institutions, and to an organization. Understand how to keep data safe by taking time to learn how viruses work, risks to avoid and tips to keep your computer safe. The event was held last October 22, 2022 via Zoom meeting and Facebook Live.
- BEJEWELED - Jewel Quest
The JPCS-Alangilan Chapter collaborated with CICS SC ExcelCICSior: BEJEWELED | Fluorescing Friendships, Twinkling Treasures. The participants should seek out the jewels that are hidden in the CICS building. They have one day to search for the jewels and half of the next day. The winner of this event will be called the title of “Jewel Hunter”. Held on December 2 - 3, 2022 at the CICS Building.

Activity No. 1: TRACKING COMPASS v2

Choosing the suitable career path is a jump-start to a bright future. However, decision- making when it comes to your career takes time, as this decision will impact the rest of your life. With thoughts of aiding students in selecting a befitting path for them, Integrated Information Technology Student Society, in collaboration with CICS Mabini Student Council, conducted its annual specialization orientation for 3rd year IT students entitled “Tracking COMPASS: Creating Opportunities and Maximizing Potential Abilities for Students’ Success,” held June 24, 2022 via Zoom Video Conferencing.
College of Informatics and Computing Sciences offers three specialization tracks for its Information Technology program: Service Management, Business Analytics, and Network Technology. Prior to the event proper, infographics that present descriptions and careers under each track are posted in the organization’s official Facebook page. The infographics aim to give students an overview of each track that may help them in choosing an appropriate track for them.
Hosted by officers Jhomari Ramirez and Janelle Adriana Casabuen, the event program started with a prayer led by Bien Joushua Macuha, Second Year Representative, followed by singing of the national anthem by CICS Cultural Guild Singers. Officially opening the program, Dr. Princess Marie B. Melo, College Dean, gave her opening remarks where she reminded students the importance of choosing the proper career path for them.
The orientation proper started with the discussion of the Business Analytics Track discoursed by Dr. Ryndel V. Amorado, then Department Chairperson of Information Technology. Following is an open forum where students get to ask questions related to the presented track. The session ended with testimonials by Gabriel Edrian Alvaro of Alangilan Campus and Shalmae D. Aclan of Mabini Campus, both fourth year students under the business analytics track. Succeeding as the second session of the orientation, Mr. Kit Raymond Rodriguez, NSTP Alangilan Head, discussed all about the Network Technology Track. The talk was then again followed by an open forum answering students’ questions related to the presented track. Testimonials by Hannah Isabel Castillo of Alangilan Campus and Arvin Jay Aguillon of Mabini Campus concluded the session.
For the orientation’s last session, Mr. Arjonel Mendoza, college instructor, presented the nooks and crannies of the Service Management Track. He then answered students’ queries and questions in an open forum that followed his talk. The session ended with testimonials by Coleen Jill Sajo of Alangilan Campus and Princess Villanueva, sharing their insights and tips regarding the track. Concluding the program is a closing remark by Mr. Lloyd Macatangay, then Department Chairperson for Computer Science. The orientation ended with a survey that seeks to view the insights of students regarding the track they prefer in preparation of the year’s curriculum.
Activity no. 2: HYPERLINK

The Integrated Information Technology Student Society organized HYPERLINK [3]: Ladder Up Froshies on October 1, Saturday, at CEAFA Amphitheatre, with the goal of creating connections, solidifying ties, and promoting camaraderie among first-year students. HYPERLINK [3] is a one-day event that includes a variety of skill, teamwork, and collaboration-based activities for all freshmen in the field of Information Technology. The event is divided into two sessions: the morning session, which begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 12:00 PM and is hosted by Aerolle Sana, IINTESS's Internal Vice President, and the afternoon session, which begins at 1:00 PM and ends at 5:00 PM and is hosted by Jhomari Ramirez, IINTESS's Business Manager.
The event started with a prayer led by Bien Joshua Macuha, a 2nd Year Representative from IINTESS, and was followed by the singing of the National Anthem led by the CICS Cultural Guild Singers. The students are then officially welcomed by Dr. Princess Marie Melo, Dean of the College of Informatics and Computing Sciences, and the speaker for the first sub-activity of the event is introduced by Christian John Pabito, President of IINTESS.
VISIO: Sharpening the Red Spartans Perspectives Brevity is a talk about how freshmen can adapt to a new environment as they transition from high school to college. Ms. Fatima Marie Agdon, an Instructor in the College of Informatics and Computing Sciences, shared her experiences in college and working in the industry, as well as an overview of what awaits IT Freshmen and general IT Student tips. Following the presentation, she welcomed questions from the audience. Following the open forum, an awarding ceremony was held, and Ma'am Fatima Marie Agdon was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for being the VISIO's guest speaker, as well as a token as a gift from IINTESS for accepting the invitation.
Following the talk, the officers of the Integrated Information Technology Student Society are introduced by Ms. Jeleen Mangubat, the Adviser of IINTESS, and the Plan of Activities is discussed by Christian John Pabito, the President of IINTESS. To conclude the morning session, there is another sub-activity called INSIGNIA: iTALA mo!, an activity that represents the start of something new and a promise to finish what they've started. On the stage, a tarpaulin and markers are set up, and all of the students are invited to sign the tarpaulin and write encouraging messages alongside their signatures. Ms. Jeleen Mangubat, the Adviser of IINTESS, then concludes the morning session. The students are then given time to eat their lunch, but they are reminded to return because the competitions are all part of the afternoon session.
The afternoon session begins with an inspirational message from Mr. Lloyd Macatangay, Associate Dean of CICS, and Ms. Lanie Palad, ITE Department Chair. Jax Blaire Kristoffer Ramos, the Project Head of HYPERLINK [3] and the Public Information Officer of IINTESS, then reads the Guidelines. Guillan Maurhyn Fajardo, President of the CICS Student Council, introduces the event's judges. The students' talents are then showcased in two competitions: Chant Charan Chant Chant, an activity in which chanting is used to strengthen team bonds, and Froshies Got Talent, in which students can showcase their talents.
Following the competitions between the six sections, there is a game organized by the organization called Deal or No Deal. It is the activity in which the students' luck as well as their knowledge will be tested in order to win special prizes. Following the game, the competition winners are announced, and the event concludes with a message from Mr. Jefferson Canada, the Head of Student Organizations.
Activity No. 3: Teacher’s Day

Every year, teachers' day is observed. The Integrated Information Technology Student Society planned a little event to honor our lecturers at the College of Informatics and Computing Sciences this year. The organization first prepared a present for all of the College of Informatics and Computing Sciences' faculty. Given that COVID-19 is still ongoing, the council members decided that it would be a good idea to provide each of our instructors with an alcohol dispenser. Apart from that, the organization bought food for the faculty members to eat. Meanwhile, the council purchased a bouquet, a bag, and a cake as a gift for the Dean, Associate Dean, and Department Chair.
Aside from the gifts, the group also planned a brief ceremony in which selected college students sang them a song while the officers distributed the gifts.
Activity No. 4: Hacktoberfest: Learn BITS

The Integrated Information Technology Student Society, as an organization that promotes research-based competencies and technological skills, collaborated with the College of Informatics and Computing Sciences Student Council's event, HacktoberFest 2022. The event began when all participants joined the event's scheduled Google meeting. The quizmaster first presented the guidelines and checked the participants' materials for the quiz bee. Following that, the quiz bee was held. The quiz bee is divided into three sections: the easy round, the intermediate round, and the final round. The event's facilitators evaluated the scores gathered by each participant and ranked them accordingly. The participants were then asked to return to the meeting for the awarding ceremony.
During the awarding ceremony, the individual participant scores were announced. The major awards were then announced, and each winner received an e-certificate. The event concluded with the award ceremony.

Activity No. 5: Technopreneurship: The OrbIT

Venue of Activity: STEER Hub AVP Hall
The Integrated Information Technology Student Society in collaboration with Technopreneurship propelled The OrbIT with the theme, “Piloting Innovative Minds Towards a Revolving Future'' launched on December 2, 2022 at STEER Hub AVP Hall. This exhibit created opportunities, market advancements, and promoted the entrepreneurial attribute among fourth- year students and their batchmates, and also provided the glimpse of the industry and guidance in order to productively manifest their blueprints in mind into reality as a great contribution to the Red Spartan community through a corporate exhibit.
The corporate presentation from the 73 start-up companies in 4th year BSIT students started initially with the morning session. Mrs. Jennifer L. Marasigan, the course facilitator of Technopreneurship officially inaugurated The OrbIT as she emphasized the vital anchor of ideation and innovation for the young minds of the Red Spartans. Next in line, the presentation of guidelines were also declared and Hannah Isabel Castillo, a 4th year BSIT student majoring Network Technology, introduced the esteemed panelists to critique the start-up companies’ pitch and marketing strategy.
The participants from sections 4101, 4102, 4103, 4104, and 4105 were stationed at their own orbit area waiting for the panelist to land a mark on their innovation and pitch. These start-up companies voiced their best pitch and called their ideas on the highest presentation strategy to let the audience agree on their aspirations. Subsequently, the distribution of certificates of participation followed the exhibit proper.
During the afternoon session, Mr John Richard M. Esguerra, the Head for Center for Technopreneurship and Innovation gave the inspirational message for the start-up companies from sections 4106, 4107, 4108, and 4109. By the same token, the guidelines were also presented by Ms. Jeleen Mangubat, the IINTESS adviser and the panelists were introduced by Christian John Pabito, the president of IINTESS, and 4th year BSIT student majoring Service Management. Shortly, the exhibit commenced. The distribution of certificates of participation followed and the overall awarding ceremony.
In conclusion, the best pitch presenters from each section were called and the overall best pitch presentations were awarded in front of the stage together with the panelists, the organizers of OrbIT and the winning start-up companies. Looking from a macroperspective, this exhibit proved that ideation could really transpire into a reality as we pilot the minds of the young minds within this orbit.
Activity No. 6: EXCELCICSior: Friendships and Treasures

The Integrated Information Technology Student Society presents Friendships and Treasures as part of ExcelCICSior BEJEWELED | Flourescing Friendship, Twinkling Treasures on December 03, Saturday, on Zoom meetings platform and via facebook live. It aims to celebrate the friendships made during the online classes that carried through the current face-to-face setup.
As part of ExcelCICSior, friendships and treasures is a year-end event that will participate in fun games and activities all to celebrate a successful semester with CICS Students. Participated and organized by all student organizations of College of Informatics and Computing Sciences. The friendships and treasures filmed before the main event. It started shooting hosted by Jhomari Ramirez- IINTESS Business Manager, December 01, 2022, around the College of Informatics and Computing Sciences building. Gathering and finding participants with the said activity. The lucky participants do friendly dares and challenges and win consolation prizes.
The main event ExcelCICSior: Bejeweled event started on December 03, 2022 at 6:00 o’clock in the afternoon which was hosted by Allyza Marie Alvarez “IINTESS’s 1st Year Representative“ and Marc Rovic Mapa ”ACCESS’s Board of Director”. The event started with a prayer led by Bien Joshua Macuha, a 2nd Year Representative from IINTESS, and was followed by the singing of the National Anthem led by the CICS Cultural Guild Singers. The students are then officially welcomed by Mr. Arjonel Mendoza, Adviser of the College of Informatics and Computing Sciences Student Council.
Following the welcoming remarks it started with a raffle draw via facebook live, and proceeded to the first activity of the event, hosted by the Junior Philippine Computer Society - Batangas State University Chapter which is the Jewel Quest continuing with announcing winners of the said activity followed by a raffle draw. Next, after an active raffle participation by the students, it proceeded to the next sub-activity which was named Friendship Feud hosted by the Association of Committed Computer Science Students followed by a raffle draw again. then, the friendships and treasures hosted by the Integrated Information Technology Student Society. Lastly, a bejeweled blitz hosted by the CICS Student Council. The competition winners are announced, and the event concludes with a message from Ms. Guillan Maurhyn Fajardo, the President of CICS Student Council.
