Batangas State University forged a new partnership with the Malaysia Institute of Supply chain Innovation (MISI) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed in a virtual ceremony on September 18, 2020.

The US-based Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology – Computing Accreditation Commission (ABET-CAC) officially awarded international accreditation to the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program under university’s College of Informatics and Computing Sciences.

SIGNING OF MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH SHANGHAI UNIVERSITY OF ELECTRIC POWER FOR OVERSEAS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Batangas State University signed a memorandum of agreement with Shanghai University of Electric Power for Overseas Internship Program on May 27, 2019 at the Function Hall, CIRTC Building, BatStateU Pablo Borbon Main I, Batangas City. Both parties have agreed to fulfill the motive of establishing an overseas internship program that will strengthen the bond between China and the Philippines. Said program will help nurture students through overseas internship/ job opportunities, and teaching condition and resources combining industry, study and research.
SEMINAR ON INDUSTRY 4.0 BY MS. KIRSTEN DAVILA RIETH

Batangas State University conducted a seminar on Industry 4.0 with the theme, “Demystifying Industry 4.0- How Universities Can Participate?” on February 4, in preparation for its Strategic Plan 2019-2029. University junior and senior officials and members of the Faculty Confederation and Supreme Student Council Confederation gathered in the event held at the Lecture Room, International Affairs Office, BatStateU Pablo Borbon Main I, Batangas City. RTI’s Director for Strategy and Innovation Ms. Kirsten Davila Rieth, served as the resource speaker of the event. She talked about the current manufacturing trends and imparted some important matters to consider before investing in Industry 4.0 technologies.
COLLABORATION AND PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN BATANGAS STATE UNIVERSITY AND EDU-CONNECT SOUTHEAST ASIA ASSOCIATION
Edu-Connect Southeast Asia Association, Kaohsiung visited Batangas State University on January 25, 2019 to explore opportunities for collaboration and partnership. The meeting was graced by delegates from Southern Taiwan Universities and Industries which took place at the Lecture Room, International Affairs Office, BatStateU Pablo Borbon Main I, Batangas City. Said visit is part of the association’s objective to seek international university-industry linkages, educational collaborations, university social responsibility projects and research lab networking in Metro Manila and CALABARZON region. This aims to bond Taiwan and the Philippines together and soar higher through academic, educational and training collaborations.
PARTNERSHIP MEETING BETWEEN BATANGAS STATE UNIVERSITY NANYANG POLYTECHNIC, SINGAPORE

Batangas State University in cooperation with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region IV-A hosted a partnership meeting with the delegates from Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), Singapore on August 1 at the Function Hall, 7th Floor, CIRTC Building, BatStateU Pablo Borbon Main I, Batangas City. The meeting was held to discuss the possible areas of collaboration focused on the involvement and development of the students and staff. It aims to create overseas opportunities for students and staff to work on applied research projects and for internships. 3RD SINGAPORE POLYTECHNICLEARNING EXPRESS PROGRAM

Singapore Polytechnic (SP), Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) and Batangas State University, for the third time, converged for another 12-day Learning Express (LeX) Program. This is part of SP’s general educational program which aims to identify the unmet needs in the lives of the people in chosen communities. The program started on September 17, 2018 and lasted on the 28th. As part of the program, the students together with their facilitators spent three days in the chosen communities of Barangay Sawang in Lobo, Barangay Mayuro in Rosario and Barangay Poctol in San Juan, Batangas. They were divided into three groups, each tasked to conduct a series of interviews, brainstorm ideas, and create solutions to the problems of the communities assigned to them.
2018 TAIWAN EDUCATION FAIR

Batangas State University (BatStateU) hosted the first ever Taiwan Education Fair on August 22, 2018 at the Gov. Feliciano “Sanoy” Leviste Multipurpose Memorial Gymnasium, BatStateU Pablo Borbon Main I, Batangas City. Different Taiwan universities showcased their programs, projects, services and best practices relevant to student and faculty development. Among the participating universities include National Taiwan Normal University; National Tsing Hua University; Chihlee University of Technology; National Chiao Tung University; National Formosa University; National Taiwan University; Minghsin University of Science and Technology; Tzu Chi University of Science and Technology; National Yunlin University of Science and Technology; Tzu Chi University; Fu Jen Catholic University; I-Shou University; China Medical University; National Dong Hwa University; WuFeng University; Kaohsiung Medical University; Chung Yuan Christian University; Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan (FICHET); and National Sun Yat-sen University.
2018 ASEAN CONFERENCE AND EXPOSITION ON DISASTER RISK MANAGEMENT AND CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION (ACEDRMCCA)

The ACTION Center or Adaptive Capacity-building and Technology Innovation for Occupational Hazards and Natural Disasters Center of Batangas State University (BatStateU) in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and National University of Kaohsiung, Taiwan (NUK) hosted the 2018 ASEAN Conference and Exposition on Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation (ACEDRMCCA) on July 25-27, 2018 with the theme, “Converging with the ASEAN Community in Managing Disaster Risks and Climate Change for a Resilient Community”. The event was held at BatStateU Pablo Borbon Main I, Batangas City, Batangas. DRM officials, personnel, researchers and academicians convened to explore the recent developments, pragmatic solutions, and effective application of science and technology innovations in climate change adaptation and disaster preparedness and response.
